The Indigenous People March of January 18th 2019 was the start, for us, Friends of the African Union, of a new round of unification for action that follows up on our May 20th 2016 Joint Venture work at the United Nations Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues Fifteenth Session. This was held at UN Headquarters under the Special Theme: “Indigenous peoples: conflict, peace and resolution”. We held a session May 20th, 2016 entitled “Native Americans and African Americans” co-sponsored by Caddo Assets Services Help Community Development and New Future Foundation in Conference Room 8.

We acknowledge, in the United States of America, many Indigenous people, like African Americans, are victims of voter suppression, divided families by economic injustice, an environmental holocaust, sex and human trafficking and police brutality. Our answer to Martin Luther King’s, book, “Where do we go from here?” is that we must unite with each other and help to create, with allies, a #justeconomy.

MLK said, “Where do we go from here?” FAU answers, “We must unite with each other and help to create, with allies, a #justeconomy.”

In Fort Coffee Oklahoma April 20th 2019, where we will do an update to our past proposed solution called the #FAUIndigenousPeoplesPlan of 2016, we will complete an update and then from Cincinnati on April 21, 2019 unite in person and a national online conference call uniting Indigenous peoples and allies across the United States of America to stand together to bring awareness to the injustices affecting Indigenous men, women and children. We will leverage Community Benefit Agreements (CBA), like the $32B Fifth Third Bank CBA, as a framework for solutions to a #justeconomy in the Native and African American communities.

It is now as $32B Agreement
2019IndigenousPeoplesPlan

We will present it at the Eighteenth Session of the United Nations Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues with a theme: “Traditional knowledge: Generation, transmission and protection” April 22 – 3 May 2019, at the United Nations Headquarters in New York. Starting on April 22 at the United Nations, we are uniting Indigenous and African peoples with allies to stand together to bring awareness to injustices and solutions to them.
